Margaret Terry said:
What attracted us to the UrbiPod was its diversity, it works for the urban apartment dwellers, but is also particularly appealing to our rural customers. It can be difficult to source high quality herbs in many rural areas and difficult to grow your own outside with harsh weather and bugs. The UrbiPod looked like a clever solution to growing indoors that solved these issues. We also believe that sustainable and eco-friendly products like the UrbiPod is exactly what todays health conscious, sustainable living consumers are looking for. It’s clever and fits our high-quality products objective. We are delighted to be bringing the Australian made UrbiPod to our retail network."

Announcing the agreement, Urbotanica Managing Director Ray Hart stated:
We’re excited to be able to partner with Leading Edge Group, who are committed to distributing quality product all over Australia. We have noticed a great passion for our product, the UrbiPod, in rural areas, and it’s great to find new channels to provide them with easy access to fresh herbs, greens, and flowers. As a new company trying to make a difference to consumer lifestyles, we relish the opportunity to partner with such an iconic Australian brand like Leading Edge Group. Working together with the team from Leading Edge Group gives us the opportunity to increase production of our products, innovate with new products using the latest technology and boost Australian jobs."

Urbotanica are currently in the middle of an Equity Crowd-Sourced Funding Campaign, looking to raise funds and open the opportunity to their customers to become co-owners of the company. The Urban Ag-Tech space is a rapidly growing industry, and Urbotanica are looking to secure funds to capitalise on increases in demand for their launch product the UrbiPod as well as invest in R&D and Marketing to continue to expand into the Urban Ag Tech space.
